We had a big presence (compared to our size) at the ASHG 2024 in snowy Denver last week!
Postdoc Susanna Gutierrez gave a platform talk on inferring adaptive introgression history in modern Peruvian population in the Wednesday morning session "I see ghost: ancient DNA in our genomes" Postdoc Michelle Kim gave a platform talk on determining the driving factors shaping genetic architecture of complex traits in recently admixed populations in the Wednesday afternoon session "Novel Aspects of Modeling Genetic Architectures of Complex Traits" PhD student Noel McAllister (Biostatistics, Zoellner Lab) presented a poster on the detectability of ghost/superarchaic introgression using TMRCA distribution in the Wednesday poster session. All presentations received lots of positive feedback and recruited decent amount of traffic. Kudos to all 3 of them!!!
